September is National Preparedness Month as set up by the U.S.Government as a one-of-a-kind campaign to enforce the importance for all citizens to be prepared for disasters and emergencies.
This aims to ensure that all communities in the United States are ready to respond if there should be a natural disaster, an infectious disease outbreak or a chemical or radiological release. The key theme for this year is ‘Preparing for Older Adults’ who face greater risks in extreme weather events and emergencies, especially for those in rural areas or low income households.
According to Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 3,000 global, national, and local governments, as well as health institutions, all support emergency preparedness efforts to reinforce the paramount importance of emergency preparedness and which actions to take before, during and after a disaster.
Disasters Expo USA will be taking place within National Preparedness Month, therefore playing a crucial role in raising awareness for global disasters that could take place at any time. We will be joined by a variety of leading disaster management and response professionals, displaying the latest products and technology to enhance protection for communities around the world.
As well as our exceptional keynote speakers who range from FEMA and NASA, to the Earthquake Country Alliance and Anaheim Fire & Rescue, will be informing you on the best ways to prepare, respond and recover from disasters. Together we can mitigate the impacts of deadly disasters.
