About Tyvon Jackasal
Tyvon Jackasal currently serves as an Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) under the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Tyvon responds to immediate man-made and natural disasters that causes disruptions to communities in all 50 U.S. States including U.S Territories. Tyvon works in collaboration with other federal, state, tribe, county, and local emergency management teams, and whole community partners to rebuild communities, and better prepare for future disasters.
Tyvon currently has a Bachelor's in Applied Science degree in Public Safety Administration; Emergency Management and Homeland Security, and is currently finishing up his Master's in Science degree in Enterprise Risk Management with a focus in Business Continuity. Tyvon is also a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), and Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) from the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII). Tyvon has experience in both the public and private sectors for crisis emergency response, and building resiliency for disaster recovery.
Prior to Tyvon serving in the Federal Government, Tyvon served as a Law Enforcement Officer at the Saint Petersburg Police Department for four years in Florida. Tyvon has experience in working in collaborating with other intergovernmental agencies, and building relationships with various communities groups. Through various experiences from public safety and the private industry, Tyvon has completed a plethora of Incident Command Courses (ICS), and certifications to ensure continuity of operations in the U.S. Government, and the private industry.
